Not wanting to get pidgeon-holed into a genre, Shane's music is best described as folk rock with a lot of heart.

The 2015 "Kings Highway", is a complete soundscape produced and engineered by Bob Rupe (Sparklehorse/Cracker/The Silos) Silos) at his studio in Richmond, VA. Cooley and Rupe played most of the instruments themselves, with help from Johnny Hott (drums), Bob Wlos (pedal steel), Hayley Rupe (background vocals), and Trevor Nealon (keys). Finishing touches were added by Austin's PJ Herrington (Asleep at the Wheel), who also produced the second to last song on the album.

Shane Cooley's new album, 'Kings Highway,' hits all the right notes.

By Mike Holtzclaw, The Daily Press - "..an absolute triumph.'
