Posted July 6th: THE HSH TOUR BEGINS! FROM SHANE: This week marks the beginning of the Home Sweet Home Tour, where I will be touring with three other acoustic acts, performing in their home states from New York to Nashville and back! We are all booked and set to perform a 17 show tour in 18 days. We're performing at some great venues, including the Hard Rock Cafe' in Nashville! The tour will come to a close in my home state at Richmond's Capital Ale House Music Hall on July 24 and The Taphouse in Norfolk on July 25. Everyone involved in the tour has been working really hard to get people to come out and show support, and I particularly want to get a great crowd out when we come to Virginia (Maryland too!). Come on out and let us know we picked the right state to celebrate the end of our tour! I want to say a special thanks to all those who contributed to Kickstarter. We met are goal and we couldn't have done it without your help! We are looking forward to seeing you at a show. The Home Sweet Home Tour is the brainchild of The Melillo Brothers. They deserve extra credit for dreaming this up and making it a reality. They also deserve a big congrats for recently winning the Emergenza Fest in NYC. Posted May 14th, 2010 New Music The Vagabond EP contains some of Shane's newest music and was recorded by Gary Mitchell on the small island of Ocracoke in North Carolina. Vagabond has more of a rootsy-folk vibe with Marcy Brenner on mandolin/background vocals, Lou Castro on bass/dobro and Jack Cooley on drums. Gary, Marcy and Lou are part of the musical group, Molasses Creek. The EP showcases a variety of tunes and has already had radio air with great reviews. The writing on album is a combination of deep felt emotions, a sense of humor and a dreamers imagination.

Backstory: Cooley, who grew up on Virginia's Northern Neck, has been writing and recording his own songs since age 13. For almost as long, he's been doggedly chasing a career in rock music. Now, at age 20, he's in college and still pushing for an artistic and commercial breakthrough. On "Whirlpool," his creative partnership with bassist and producer Stewart Myers continues to bear fruit. Highlights: "Ides of March," which recalls Americana favorite Ryan Adams; the sarcastic "Indie Rocker;" "Speed of Life," a grooving rock song built around honest emotion. For fans of: Wallflowers, Ryan Adams, Matchbox Twenty Sam's take: Cooley's enthusiasm has always been infectious, but his artistic reach has sometimes exceeded his grasp. ANTHEM FEST AREA FINALS: February 8th, 2008 Shane made an impression at the Semi-Finals and he will be back for the Finals. The Semi-Finals included alot of great music and talented bands, so Shane was glad to be moved up and come back to this fun event. A big shout out to those fans that helped him get there. BASKETBALL HALF-TIME SHOW: January 31st, 2008  Shane was chosen to sing the National Anthem and perform some of his new songs from Whirlpool at the Women's Basketball game at William and Mary. He will be doing the same for the Men's game scheduled for February 20th. ANTHEM FEST: January 12th, 2008 Shane will be performing in the ANTHEM International Music Festival in College Park, Maryland at EJs Landing. This is a semi-final night, the winners go on to play in February.
